Photographer & Photojournalist

Leyla Dirim is a Berlin-based storyteller behind the lens—a photographer &  photojournalist born and raised in Germany. Her work is not just about capturing photos but about weaving together cultures, languages, and perspectives.

In photo dispatch, Leyla shares photographs and reflections from the places she’s explored, with a keen eye for architecture, art, and landscapes. Over time, her curiosity has also expanded into the dynamic world of sports photography, where she captures the energy, emotions, and movements of athletes in action. In photojournalism & stories, you will find selected moments from sports, culture, and everyday life: documentary photography and visual stories.

Her current series Inner Berlin documents urban life through a static lens- observing, listening, and making visible what usually passes unseen.

Iconic ICC Berlin Impressions

On September 10, 2025, I accepted an invitation from visitberlin to a preview photo tour as part of Open Monument Day. Here are a few impressions.

The former convention center opened its doors only for that weekend. Built in the 1970s in the western part of the capital, the ICC gained global recognition for its state-of-the-art architecture and became the largest convention center in Europe.
